Porto Jofre Pantanal lodge is one of the Pioneer lodges in Porto Jofre. In fact, that´s why the name referring to the region. Moreover, the lodge offers nice rooms, confortable beds, hot shower and airconditioning in every room. Besides, the accommodation offers excellent services, new boats and delicious food.
In the late 70´s the lodge in Porto Jofre was only a fisherman´s house. Soon, many tourists started visiting the region due to its famous aboudance in big fresh water fish. Actually, only in 2007, the lodge started receiving many ecotourists who wished to discover the beaties of the region. Finally, in 2023, Charles Mun bought the lodge and started making ecotourism of a high level.
The lodge is a cozy with simplicity. It is at the end of the Transpantaneira at kilometer 150. Basically, the lodge is right by the river. From the lodge it only takes 20 minutes until you can reach the State Park Encontro das Aguas. Moreover, the boats have a 4 stroke motor, smokeless and silent. In General, the boat drivers in Porto Jofre are all very experient and proffessional. Furthermore, what makes this accommodation even nicer is the fact that the Hyacinth Macaws have their nests right around the house. Besides, The Ocelots offen come to Visit the back yard of the lodge. Useally, capibaras, Agoutis and Monkeys are always running in the garden.
Basically, the main activity in Porto Jofre is the Boar drive on the São Lourenço, Piquiri and Tres irmaos Rivers. Useally, we make two outings. The first outing is after breakfast, from 07:00 am until 11:30 am. Furthermore, we can make a second outing from 02:00 until 05:30 pm.
